What should my dancer bring?
Please label everything — many dancers will have identical items, and this helps prevent mix-ups!
Here’s what to pack:
Costume(s) on a labeled hanger inside a costume bag
Dance shoes
Tights (plus an extra pair, if possible)
Makeup and hair supplies
Quiet, non-messy activities (tablet, book, headphones, etc.)
Blanket and/or small pillow for downtime
Non-messy snacks
Spill-proof water bottle
Being organized helps your dancer stay comfortable, focused, and ready to shine on stage!
Is my child allowed to leave after their class performs in the show?
All dancers are required to stay for the entire performance.
After the show concludes, dancers will return to their dressing rooms. Parents will then check out their child with a designated volunteer or staff member responsible for dancer release.
Some of our younger dancers in the following classes will perform in Act I and may leave at intermission if needed:
Wednesday 3:30–4:30 PM – Ballet/Tap Combo
Wednesday 4:30–5:30 PM – Ballet/Tap Combo
Saturday 10:00–11:00 AM – Ballet/Tap Combo
Important: All dancers, including those listed above, will participate in the final bows at the end of the show. Please take this into consideration if you are planning to leave early.
Dancers not enrolled in these specific classes are required to stay for the full performance and may not be permitted to leave early.
How long is the recital?
Approximately 2.5 - 3 hours including intermission.
